Patio pavers are becoming an extremely popular outdoor accessory due to the fact that they are affordable and if laid by professionals or even fairly competent bricklayers the result can look fantastic. Man has experimented with laying bricks into fashionable designs for centuries but we learn from time and history that some of these beautiful structures of old are unfortunate victims to weathering and strong sun. Almost any type of brick, concrete or slab tiles will eventually fall prey to the elements. To make sure you have the best patio in your neighborhood consult the internet or ask the advice of a professional about which patio pavers look great and also last long.

As we look through history we can see how paving has evolved into what we know it today, and as times have changed and developed so has the way in which men make pavers. In comparison to decades ago the paver slabs used today are much more reliable, stain-resistant and durable and come in almost any shape or form imaginable. This allows them to last much longer but also create paver patio designs that are worthy of a king and queen.

The pavers for patio are installed over a pre-prepared compacted stone base that lies atop a stable flat bed of sand. Each stone is meticulously and carefully laid out in whichever pattern or design was agreed upon.

Some of the most popular patterns for patio pavers consist of the following:

• Circular pattern - As the name says it involves laying the pavers out methodically to create a circular or arched shape through the use and help of bricks that are shaped like wedges.

• Herringbone pattern - Boasted to be able to carry bigger loads makes this very popular. It's used mostly for driveways and is caused by bricks that are laid at 45 or 90 degree angle patterns.

• Basket Weave - A classic pavers for patio design. This creates a design that forms a series of squares, caused by 2 bricks that make a square.

• Stretcher pattern - This is unofficially the most popular method of paver patio designs. They are either laid sideways or long ways. These are best used on pathways manipulating the effect of making the pathway look longer or shorter.

• Random- Used quite well by laying the bricks in a random mixed way with no attention paid to a specific pattern.

It's important to note her that the design chosen has a great impact on the price of the project as some require more effort and attention to detail than others. You can make your patio look even better by getting creative around whichever pattern you choose for example; you could arrange the pavers in a color coded fashion for dramatic effect.

Alternatively you could add a border around the patio called a soldier course which works wonders in rounding off the whole project beautifully. Patio pavers arranged in style will also increase the overall value of your property making it a substantial investment.

Most Adorable Cat House Around the Globe.

Watch This Video, it'll give you some ideas about cat house.

Cat Houses - Perfect For Pampering Your Pet
By [http://EzineArticles.com/expert/Jennifer_Akre/6885]Jennifer Akre

When it comes to the family pets, the dogs seem to always get everything. They have dog houses, a load of toys, they get to do the outside walks and rides in the car. But, what about the family cat? Other than a few jingle bell toys, and maybe one mouse on a bouncy string, what does the cat get?  Not a heck of a lot.  If you ask me, that's unfair to the cat. It's like playing favorites among the kids, and the cat is losing. You may say your cat is unfriendly. Well, you would be unfriendly too if you saw a sibling getting all the goods and you didn't get any.  It's time the cat gets its fair due.

So, you ask, what does a cat need? Well, how about a cat house? The dog has a house, the cat could have one too.  This does not mean you should toss your cat outside with the dog and put a house up for him. Cat houses are actually meant to be inside. They are a space that you can allow your cat to call their own.  Cat houses are their safe haven in the world.

There is no shortage of cat houses that are available, so you may need to get ready for the variety you are going to find when you start looking.

First, if your cat is a climber or jumper, you may want to consider multi-level cat houses. These cat house condos are a number of rooms that are build on top of one another, often with tunnels attaching them, where your cat can find a safe place to curl up and take a nap. These multi-room cat houses are especially good if you have more than one cat. They can each find their own space within the levels.

You can often attach many of your cats toys to the tops or edges of cat houses, to give them built in play-time, and if you look for the cat houses that are made of carpet, it is a ready-to-use scratch pad as well.

If you have an older cat, or a cat with medical conditions that is not as likely to be doing any athletic feats, you may want to keep your cat houses closer to the ground. Instead of looking for height, you may want to look for cat houses that have a few rooms side by side at ground level. This gives your cat a choice of places to curl up, without any pain or difficulty that may be associated with climbing.

If you really want to go all out, you can look into the really large cat houses. Some of these are really like a cat's home within your home. They have spaces for litter boxes, food and water bowls and a bed for your cat. While you may think that's overkill, if you have a dog that likes to get into the litter pan, you may not think twice and appreciate the idea of having all the cats items out of the dogs reach.
